Wheatsheaf Community Hub
Ecologiq was engaged by Moreland City Council as the specialist technical consultant for the Wheatsheaf Community Hub renewable energy program. Working alongside the architectural team and the builder’s consultants, we reviewed and refined the conceptual solar and battery design to ensure full compliance with DNSP requirements and the site’s operational needs.
A detailed consumption and load-profile analysis was completed to determine realistic backup requirements, optimal battery sizing and long-term financial benefits. This assessment highlighted that the originally proposed system capacity would not achieve the desired performance, leading Ecologiq to redesign both the solar and battery specifications.
Our team pre-identified technical constraints, voltage and export limitations, and connection pathway requirements preventing costly redesigns and ensuring the project moved to the installation phase without regulatory delays.
