Department Education NSW
Ecologiq supported the NSW Department of Education through a major sustainability and solar-upgrade initiative, acting as Owner’s Engineer across a broad mix of primary schools, high schools and regional multi-building campuses. NSW’s network of school environments is uniquely diverse, spanning heritage blocks, ageing rooftops and complex switchboard layouts requiring a tailored engineering approach.
Our engineers completed detailed structural and electrical assessments across each school, identifying roof capacity, mounting constraints, switchboard upgrades and feasible cable pathways to enable safe and compliant implementation. As Owner’s Engineer, we reviewed contractor methodologies, prevented non-compliant installations, clarified design assumptions and oversaw all grid-connection modelling and DNSP submissions. This combined engineering and governance approach enabled NSW Education to achieve a consistent, safe and defect-free program across numerous schools, supporting long-term sustainability and reduced operational costs.
